HISTORY OF THE AQFFL
The Armchair Quarterback Fantasy
Football League has been in existance since 1990. It was nothing
more than an experiment at that time and had only 8 teams in the league.
Over the years, the coaches and commish learned more about the game and
saw ways to improve the league and make it more exciting for each team
owner. In the 1994 off season, the league expanded adding 2 more
teams to the original eight. In that 1995 season, the league started
to keep statistics of the teams. So all stats shown start from that
1995 season, even though the league has been around for the past eight
years. In 1996, the league expanded one more time to 14 teams.
The league remained with 14 teams until the start of 1998 season with the
final expansion of 2 more teams to 16 teams. the divisions were now
set and rivals began to be made. With the league growing, many changes
in the structure have been made over the years. But with a solid
Fantasy Football core and great group of coaches, the league expects to
be around for a long....long time.
