RULES

DRAFT / TRADES AND CLAIMS / FORMATIONS / SCORING / TIEBREAKER / PLAYOFFS  / ARBITRATION BOARD /

THE DRAFT

  • All coaches have a time limit of 2 minutes to draft a player. The league secretary will start the timer and will let the coaches know if they are close to their time limit. If you do not select within that time, you will forfeit your selection at that time and move back one place in the draft order. (i.e. If the team picking 3rd in the round doesn't make a selection in the given time, then the team picking 4th in that round will now pick 3rd. Team that failed to pick in that time will now pick 4th)
  • There will be 9 rounds.
  • Trading of first round positions must be done by 5pm on the day before the draft.

  • You may trade:
your draft position for franchise players
your draft position for fantasy dollars
your draft position for another 1st round position
your draft position for any combination of the above

If you lose a spot in the first round draft due to a trade. You may fill your roster up after the 9th round of the draft.

  • You must draft at least 1 player at each of the following positions: QB, RB, WR/TE, Kicking Team, Defensive/Special Team
  • Coaches will designate 3 franchise players from the previous years team. These players are not available to the league draft. You may use them as "trade bait" to move up in the draft or acquire different franchise players or acquire fantasy dollars.
  • Player Position: On draft day as coaches draft a player, they must state that players position on your team. (i.e. Kordell Stewart, QB) This player can only start at this position on your roster. When trading or claiming players out of the pool, a new player can be re-declared to his position on your roster.
  • Coaches must designate franchise players with the Commish.

  • Once the league has received the designated franchise players from all teams, a sheet will be passed out stating each teams franchise players.
  • A $30 ENTRY FEE MUST BE RECEIVED ON THE DAY OF THE DRAFT! NO EXCEPTIONS!!

  • TRADES AND CLAIMS
    • Each team is allotted $8 fantasy dollars. These fantasy dollars are to be used in Drop/Adds and to place blind bids for players out of the pool.
    • Week 1 and Week 2 is FREE DROP/ADD.  After Week 2 all Drop/Adds will cost a team a minimum of $1 Fantasy.
    • Tuesdays and Wednesdays, a team will place a blind bid into the bid box or send the league office an email with the "subjet line" titled "Blind Bid".  On Thursday morning the High bids will be awarded the player being claimed.  In the case of a tieing bid, the team with the worst record will be awarded the player.  If the records are the same, then the team with the lowest "points for" total will be awarded the player.  If a tie still exists, then the team that has the most "points against" will be awarded the player.
    • Beginning Thursday morning thru Friday afternoon (3:00 pm), the League Office will accept bids on players from the open pool on a "First Come First Serve" basis.  A $1 minimum is required to do this.
    • The player pool will remain open until playoffs. All trades and drop/adds will end on a date to be set by league office.
    • Rosters will be locked on at the start of games in Week 13.
    • Trades between teams are free. You may trade players and/or fantasy dollars for players.
    • All trades are subject to the approval of the Commish!
    • Rule Definition:

    • There was a discussion in our first FFL meeting about the trading of players between teams.
      To better define:
What will not be allowed is the swapping of players for a week or two to help another owner out because he might have a player off on a bye week.
This is a judgement call, which will be made by the Commish and Staff.

    • Coaches will select one of the following formations for league play each week:

    • 1-QB, 2-RB, 2-WR, 1-TE, 1-KT, 1-DEF  (Standard Format)

During that teams bye week, you will receive the points scored the previous week. You may trade your Kicking Team or drop them, but you must have at least one Kicking Team on your roster at all times.
